Marty Lobdell was Co-Founder and Managing Director of Lobdell Capital Management, a fund of hedge funds focused on emerging managers, from 2002 until 2008. Mr. Lobdell's background includes deal structuring, finance and due diligence experience as a fund of hedge funds manager, a corporate executive, an investment banker and a lawyer.

Prior to co-founding Lobdell Capital Management, Mr. Lobdell led mergers and acquisitions, new business ventures, strategic partnerships and investments as a senior corporate and business development executive for two emerging growth technology companies, one of which he helped grow from start-up to a public company with a market capitalization of over $5 billion.

Prior to serving as a corporate and business development executive, Mr. Lobdell was an investment banker in the corporate finance department at Dain Rauscher Wessels. Mr. Lobdell began his professional career as an attorney for emerging growth companies, venture capital firms and investment banks at the law firm of Cooley Godward. As a banker and lawyer, he completed over 50 major deals including M&A transactions, public and private equity offerings and venture capital financing and fund formations. He also led his firms' venture capital investments.

Mr. Lobdell holds several degrees from the University of Michigan, receiving his M.B.A. with concentration in corporate finance, his J.D. cum laude with emphasis in securities and corporate law and his B.A. with high distinction in economics. He also graduated with high honors for his thesis on investments and the Capital Asset Pricing Model. Mr. Lobdell is NASD Series 65 (Uniform Investment Advisor Law) qualified and is a member (inactive status) of the California Bar Association.
